Democracy 2.0

Peter Sanford is the creator of OurWorld. He built the platform around a simple conviction: that ordinary people, given honest tools and a real vote, can shape the decisions that affect their lives.

OurWorld is deliberately built against the grain of modern social media — no engagement farming, no outrage harvesting, no addictive mechanics, no party colours. Just direct democracy, transparency, and a place to be heard. It's honest civic theatre, and every part of it is held to one standard: no accusation without evidence.

Alongside OurWorld, Peter runs The Imperfect Storm, an environmental campaign holding developers and polluters to account in his corner of Oxfordshire — built on that same evidence-first standard.

He'd genuinely like to hear from you, whether you want to get involved, challenge something, or just say hello.
